Kason was admitted to the hospital on Sunday with trouble breathing. His respiratory rate was 86 he was retracting and wheezing. We came home Tuesday. I love being home. So many people talk about writing being therapeutic, but it isn’t for me, it just feeds the frustration I’ve been praying to suppress. At any rate…not much was really done and I told them I was tired of going to the hospital. I’m tired of being sent to the hospital if they’re not going to do anything about it. So anyway, they’re treating him for some sort of unidentified lung disease. They gave a million and one reasons why he may be having trouble breathing, but it all boils down to he is a very happy baby who is happy to breath fast and hard so it’s okay. I’m unhappy to report that he is uncharacteristically unhappy, maybe from the meds, but I really don’t know. They gave him large doses of steroids which did help to open his airway and his breathing was in the 30’s most of the time we’re at the hospital. We’ll continue oral steroids until tomorrow, and inhaled steroids and heart meds indefinitely. I talked to a friend today that is going through seriously unimaginable health and financial trials, for weeks I have been praying for God to have pity on their family. Today she encouraged me to trust God and have great faith, not to trust in man. I need to pray for so much faith; I keep thinking when Jesus returns will he find faith left on the earth?
In other news...I used to read about "mothers helpers" in homeschool magazines. Where do those angels come from and where do they live? I never ever thought I would be lucky enough to find one, but God has blessed me this summer with my 11 year old niece and my friends two daughters. To say that I am elated, would be an understatement!
Its actually 2am. I'm almost never up at 2am, but my baby isn't acting like himself. I just got done researching about steroids. Side Effect: Insomnia and mania...That about sums it up. Tomorrow is the last day of this med, but I'll sure call in the morning to see if I can stop it immediately. Yeah the Doctor called me this morning to see how things were going and he said I could stop. Yeah!
Unrelated, but so cute.

I love my Kaden. He has such a neat personality. He is a naturally content child. He likes to work hard and play hard. He is genuinely sweet and is all about what is fair, in fact I don't think I've ever met a child so in tune with justice.

I haven't gotten around to taking a lot of pictures of the house. Now that I have batteries I'll take more pics.
Kason started having breathing trouble Thur. I started albuterol treatments and added pulmicort on Sat. he wasn't responding to treatment so we took him to CHKD yesterday. He has some collapses in his right lung that should heal on it's own, but he's had the collapse for months now so I think we'll see a pulmanory specialist soon. Otherwise he is still doing treatments at home, his breathing is still fast and hard but he is tolerating it. We want to keep him out of the hospital so he doesn't catch anything else.

So we were on our way to church but daddy said he could not let the boy out looking like a flower.
Does this look like a plea for help?
The Living Room is easily my favorite room, although I must say I love every single inch on my new home. This room has a huge window and a cool breeze, a fire place and no TV.

I miss the computer, but I'm enjoying my new domestic duties. Everyday is something new. I finally got a new vacuum today, and swiffer and dust mop. There is so much to do. I'm in the middle of doing several projects for the kids. I want to make sandpaper letters, sentence blocks, and other educational games for the kids. We're also in the middle of making a lapbook on Hudson Taylor the missionary to China.I am in the middle of writing two papers for class. Well I'm not really in the middle. They're do next week and I haven't started, although I did secure my research books I just have to write.
I have been so inspired by this website that my friend lead me to, but oh the weight of condemnation. I partly leave the website feeling like I learned so much, and I partly leave feeling like a failure what have I been doing all these years! I'm starting to attribute some of my older sons weaknesses to shear teacher error. I know he won't be good at all things, but some of his weaknesses aren't true weaknesses but just the result of teacher error (me). That's the downside to homeschooling, there is really no one to blame but you. There are many things that I underestimated that have been a hindrance to him. Not major, like he can't get into college stuff, but little stuff. Like...
I should have let him play with clay, scissors, puzzles, manipulative's, etc when he was really little. His fine motor skills have been so slow to develop. I underestimated the true value in seemingly ridiculous tasks like putting macaroni on a string and learning to color... so we never did them. It took me years to decide on what writing style I wanted to use so he literally learned parts of three before I finally decided on one. It would have been so much easier to start with the right one from the start. It has taken me a while to learn how to teach math. I need to spend a lot more time teaching. I realize that I have been giving too much independent work and I haven't been teaching enough especially with math. I think that has been my biggest realization this week, I need to teach much more.
So...I feel better now, I'm not as melancholoy as I sound. I'm grateful for the gift of homeschooling, I'm thankful to be humbled, I have hope and wisdom for the future. God is so liberal in pouring out wisdom, I've been praying and begging God for more wisdom everyday, I know he will be faithful.
So I asked my husband if he ever feels under condemnation. He said, "No, I pretty much know what I'm good at and what I'm not". And he adds, "I'm not prideful, I'm just confident." Spoken like a true humble person, he makes me laugh!
In other news...I can't wait to post pics. I have the cutest pics of all my little treasures. God has given me an amazing family, I am blessed far more than I deserve.

We're all moved in!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah. I don't have batteries so I can't take pics. God must have made this house perfectly for us, I am so thankful. We're busy unpacking and doing yard work, but all is well and I praise God for it.
Well we're almost ready to move. I'm sick so nothing got done today. I probably won't get to post again until after we move. I'm looking forward to learning how to mow a lawn and garden!
I finally took down the pack-n-play/laundry basket. It was fun while it lasted. :-)
I finally took down the pack-n-play/laundry basket. It was fun while it lasted. :-)
What's up with us? We've been painting our new house all week long. It has been fun and exhausting. We primed our bedroom and painted it cake stand blue, which is a very subtle blue. We primed the chocolate covered living room wall and painted it lava gray. I am infatuated with the names of these colors. Every day we've gotten all four kids up and headed for Lowes, bought food at Farm Fresh, and ate at the new house. I usually let the kids play in the yard for a while and then they take naps. This is when the bulk of the painting takes place. It was fun; we’ll do the walk through on Thursday and move in on Friday. In the meantime we have some last minute packing to do, and I have midterms and a lot of homework to catch up on. I also need to start researching for my paper. So I’m off to be productive, I love it!

For Today... I’ll be packing. We move next Friday!!!!!!
Outside my window... Wet, rainy, cloudy, just how I like it.
I am thinking... About my favorite scripture recently. Psalm 27:4
One thing I ask of the LORD,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple.
How beautiful! This is my hearts cry.
From the learning rooms... My oldest finished his spelling book. The youngest three are learning words and math concepts.
I am thankful for... My nephews surprising me yesterday and coming over. They played with the kids and I took a nap. They even cleaned the kitchen. I am so thankful for their serving hearts I love them so much.
From the kitchen... Playoff party food mess needs to be cleaned.
I am wearing... Pajamas
I am reading... Textbooks
I am praying... Prayers of thanksgiving and praise. And prayers for my oldest. I noticed that he is transitioning from being a little boy to a bigger boy. We had to buy deodorant for him! I read an article years ago about how the transition can be harder on homeschool moms because they are with their little boys everyday to see them transition and it’s a little bit scary. He’s nowhere near being a man, but I see the buds of transition taking place. Lately I’m praying for him to be a young man after God’s own heart. I pray that he is not a lover of pleasure and isn’t given to being idle. I pray that he will love, protect, and cherish his purity. I pray that he chooses Godly friends and walks with the wise. I pray that he has his own convictions about living for Jesus. I pray that God and spiritual things are always attractive to him.
I am creating... I’m packing.
I am hearing... Word World.
Around the house... Packing and cleaning.
One of my favorite things... I love the first night in your new home. We’ve moved a couple of times. I love the new smells, I love having to find the bathrooms and closets. I love unpacking and seeing all my things that I had forgotten about.
A few plans for the rest of the week... Co-op end of the year party. We are painting some rooms in our new house this week.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...
I am encouraged that my daughter is taming down a bit. Even my husband remarked how sweet and gentle she has been as of late. Our prayer for many months has been for her to have a gentle and quiet spirit. She is our sweet "strong willed" child. I'm not scared by the word, it just means I have to work a little harder and longer with this one. It is so encouraging to see the fruit of our prayers, persistence, and love for her. I have much more I want to say about this, but I've been writing this post for 3 days and still don't have enough time to finish all I want to say about it.

For Today... I actually like Mondays. I feel most energetic and have grandeur plans for the rest of the week.
Outside my window... Cloudy, my favorite kind of day.
I am thinking... How grateful I am. I had a wonderful Mother’s Day. My oldest was so persistent about fixing me breakfast and bringing it to me in bed on Mother’s Day, but he knew that daddy had to work and wouldn’t be able to help him on Sunday morning. He asked me to help him make my breakfast Sat. night so he could microwave it on Sunday morning. He made me 3 egg whites with crushed pepper and presented it on a plate with strawberries. I was so encouraged! We praised God all day. I reminded the children how I grateful I am, but for many mothers this is a sad day. We prayed for the brokenhearted moms. Moms who have lost their children to war or to jail or to death. We prayed people whose moms have passed on, and this day is filled with sad memories.
From the learning rooms... This week, I really need to get back into reading our history lesson. I love Story of the World, but with everything going on this year, history had to take a backseat.
I am thankful for... That every day is Mother’s Day for me. I feel special, loved, and appreciated all the time. My husband continually blesses me. I’m always amazed at how much he loves and appreciates me. I always think, “doesn’t he see my bad attitude, my fuming, my irritations, my shortcoming?” He has mastered unconditional love like no one I know and I stand amazed. He took me out for ice cream on Sat. I stayed in the car with the kids and he brought it out a few minutes later. We stayed in the car to eat the ice cream and out of the corner of my eye, I saw a stranger approaching the car. I was sitting in the driver’s seat with the window down and the man came up to me and said, “I heard that you are an incredible woman, Happy Mother’s Day.!” I asked my husband what he was talking about and he said he met him in the ice cream shop and was telling him about me. Anyone in my husbands sphere of influence hears that I’m perfect. It is so NOt true, but It makes me feel confident and secure in his love for me, and it sets a wonderful example for me to constantly bear with others in love, forgiving grievances, overlooking insults, and overlooking offenses. My husband does this perfectly for me and I want to do so to him and others.
From the kitchen... Going to make eggs.
I am wearing... Pajamas
I am reading.... The Pursuit of Godly Seed by Denny Kenaston.
I am praying... Prayers of thankfulness. I’m also praying for a fixed heart and to not be easily irritated. I’m praying not to snap at the kids today or be senselessly overwhelmed by anything except for the love of God. I’m praying that as a family we continue to thank God for our new house and that we don’t get consumed with decorations.
I am creating... packing
I am hearing... Silence, no one is allowed up until I say so, which will be when I’m done.
Around the House: packing
One of my favorite things... My mom. She is the best grandmother in the world. I love her so much, and I want to learn to be as giving as she is.
A few plans for the rest of the week... Packing, co-op and all the usual.

Kason's cardiology appointment was very encouraging. His heart is doing very well and when he is about 22lbs we can try to close the hole in his heart. He weighed in at 15lbs today. Exactly how the hole will be closed is still debatable. The cardiologist believes that the wheezing and breathing trouble is from asthma and not from his heart. His meds were increased. We were in and out. Praise God, and I thank everyone for their prayers for our sweet boy.

For Today... Not much going on today. I started class today. I’m taking Small Business Management and Labor Relations. Only 1 more semester left! We had our quiet time this morning. My son wanted to study Ruth. We read the first chapter; I am always encouraged at how he can relate things. He picked the book of Ruth because he never read it before, but when we were half way through he recognized it as one of the episodes on Friends and Heroes. I love how everything relates together and reinforces the exaltation of our King.
Outside my window... Wet, rainy, cloudy, just how I like it.
I am thinking... I enjoyed watching the playoffs with my husband this weekend.
From the learning rooms... My oldest is working on spelling right now, the baby started the Doman program today, the twins will do more formal learning after naps.
I am thankful for... My mom taking the oldest three all day Sat. Contrary to what my son believes, I do not cry when they are gone! I had a delightful time. I enjoy quietude. I listened to sermons and made a master schedule. It was very relaxing.
From the kitchen... oatmeal for breakfast
I am wearing... A nursing dress
I am reading... Created to be His Helpmeet for the 10th time.
I am praying... Wisdom for the doctors, peace in my heart, deeper convictions for myself and others.
I am creating... I made about 6 new diapers.
I am hearing... I have five children today and it is relatively quiet.
Around the house... Packing is going pretty well.
One of my favorite things... My Ipod Nano. I LOVE this thing and I use it daily. Right now I have about 30 songs, 60 sermons from Charity Ministries, and 20 podcasts from Passion for Christ. It goes with me to the park and to the doctor and practically every room in my house.
A few plans for the rest of the week... Co-op, cardiology, church.

That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace Psalms 144:12

Kason is feeling better. His physical symptoms seem to be improving slightly, but his mood is a ton better. Next week he'll have an EKG, echo, and maybe another X-Ray with cardiology.
My days have been filled with cuddling that sweet baby. Sewing diapers, going to the park, packing, listening to sermons, spending time with my honey, homeschooling.
It dawned on me yesterday that the things that used to irk me about my husband are things that I really truly love about him. When we were first married I was so annoyed that he wouldn't let me go "anywhere". I wanted to walk to my friends house and his logic was that someone would kidnap me. A wise friend explained to me that is one way that my husband shows he loves me. Today, I feel so loved by his protection. He will defend me and protect me to the death, and I know it! Recently my friend walked a really long way with her kids, and I thought "doesn't her husband love her?" Of course he loves her, but I realized that I have come to equate my husbands protectiveness as a loving gesture and I feel very secure in that. I also realized recently that I still get physical goosebumps when he gives me a kiss. I have come to love everything about him and count myself blessed far more than I deserve. I am ever mindful that I am living the good life.

For Today...Kristal and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. In all honesty it wasn’t the worst day I’ve ever had. I guess it’s more like: Kristal and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Attitude! I had to make a follow-up appointment for the baby this morning because I had to take him to the ER yesterday for breathing trouble. One of the sisters at church is a Pediatrician I asked her to look at the baby because he seemed to be breathing fast, hard, and having retractions. She confirmed that he was retracting and that his respiratory rate was 75, normal rate HERE. I called by Doc. and she told me to take him to CHKD 45min away. My husband was at work and I had no way of contacting him. My in-laws and my mom took the other kids. I took the baby to CHKD. They did breathing treatments, upped his meds, gave us some inhalers, took x-rays, and sent us home with prescriptions. I went to fill the prescriptions and found out insurance won’t cover it and its $70.00, except they covered the same medicine in a different form just two weeks ago. I was irritated because he needed that medicine in about an hour. By the time I got home, his respiratory rate was back up to 70 or 80 and he was wheezing, and I didn’t have the medicine. I was irritated what did I go to the doctor for again? I check my messages and the ER doc had called and left a message. I called her back and she went over his x-rays and stuff. She called in a new prescription that my insurance would cover and told me to follow up with his primary care doc today.Of course when I went to call the Doc at 7:50, I realized my phone was off.I was more irritated. That’s because we switched to Vonage which connects to your internet and my internet was cut off because they misunderstood what my husband wanted them to do. My neighbor let me use her phone to make an appointment. I attempted to talk to my internet company but you must be in a position to talk to them forever, and I wasn’t. Went to the doc, more meds. Came home, and tried not to cry. I feel overwhelmed and tired and the baby feels 100 times worse than I do, so I feel bad for being so selfish and ungrateful.
Outside my window... It was sunny and hot all day. Not my favorite kind of day.
I am thinking... I’m glad the twins are in bed. I’m glad I can whine online instead of whining to my husband or anyone else.
From the learning rooms... My oldest is still working on independent school work. We were gone all morning and for the sake of my sanity EVERYONE had mandatory naps. So here we are this evening doing school.
I am thankful for... My baby being home, good doctors, health insurance, working car, gas money, food, my husband’s job.
From the kitchen... My kids had hotdogs and chips. Yes, I feel like a bad mom for it.
I am wearing... Clothes
I am reading... I was in bed last night and my husband asked me what I was reading and I told him “Weary Women” a chapter from Passionate Housewives Desperate for God. And he asked Why? I suppressed my desire to roll my eyes.
I am praying... That the baby gains weight. I think a lot of his problems stem from the large hole in his heart and the insufficiency of his heart function. He has too much blood pumping to one side of the heart enlarging the heart and causing fluid buildup in the heart and lungs. This can cause the trouble breathing and asthma like symptoms.
I am creating... In theory more diapers.
I am hearing... Playoffs.
Around the house... Packing and laundry.
One of my favorite things... The feeling of brining home my baby. Amidst my ranting and raving, I am so grateful to have a baby to take home and that he is healthy enough to bring home. I love to cuddle him and hold him and drink in his sweet baby smell. I love being his mom and I would have it no other way.
A few plans for the rest of the week... Nebulizer treatments every 4 hours. Daughter’s hair, diaper making, master schedule.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...
Happier Day
I love being thier mom!
Sick Day

For Today...My friend and I are taking our children to the VA Air and Space Museum! It is free admission!
Outside my window... It’s dark. I’m either the Prov. 31 woman who rises while it is still dark, or I’m really writing this the night before. :-)
I am thinking... That I should be doing a million other useful things, laundry perhaps?
From the learning rooms... Field trip today, Co-op tomorrow. Solidifying math concepts.
I am thankful for... My 13 year old nephew sharing with his mom how he has been blessed by watching me and my husband’s marriage and our love and respect for each other.
From the kitchen...My husband is cooking steak.
I am wearing... PJ’s. It’s another laundry trick.
I am reading... Spanish book, research books, Vaccine Book, Organic Living book
I am hoping... My baby is okay. I have this nagging feeling that he isn’t as good as he looks. :-( I pray that my fears are unfounded.
I am creating... Diapers.
I am hearing... My husband watching the Playoffs.
Around the house... Packing and laundry. I’m really doing neither, just wishful thinking. Must finish finals first.
One of my favorite things... Date nights with my husband. We actually had a date during daylight hours this week. Who Hooooo!
A few plans for the rest of the week... The usual+ finals.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

My husband fell asleep in the hallway, but pumpkin boy didn't :-)

Yes we are drowning in laundry...literally!
It's impressive I know. And I thought that the pack n play was the best place to contain all the clean laundry.

And I didn't even take pictures of the 6 baskets of folded laundry that are lining the hallway. Secretly, my kids sleep in their clothes to cut-down on laundry. And not so secretly, they often wear their clothes 2 days in a row! Imagine how much laundry I would have if my kids actually wore pajamas and changed their clothes everyday? Hmmmm....
This is 100% worth your 10 minutes.
Lyrics to What if there were no more excuses
Blair Wingo
What if there were no more excuses
You know how you say that turning from sin is a process
When the truth is you just want an excuse to take your so called precious time
So you throw out no bodies perfect to cover the guilt on your mind
Or how about this one… we won’t be holy until we enter glory
But then who is hell for?
You may feel like sin is warring within but Christ gave victory not to give in
Cause can’t enter heaven and not reflect Him
So… what if you had no more excuses
Because for a Christian, they just don’t make sense
Like knowing He’s coming back for a bride without spot
But thinking you can climb over the fence
But it’s just not true
So what if there was nothing stopping you
Like you’re told not to drink or smoke, and you got an excuses
Like technically the Bible doesn’t specifically say not to
Show me the exact scripture, and I’ll consider, matter of fact show me a sign
I mean Jesus turned water into wine
And God created weed, the Bible says I give you every tree,…so it must be fine
Or you’re told not to listen to worldly music
And you say we’ll I’ll just listen to r&b, the oldies or neo-soul
When you know they aint preaching the gospel
And when your done listening it makes you lust grow
Before you were cool, now your sentual
Dress provocatively so you gab the compliments of men
When truthfully your lacking Christs convictions
He doesn’t have your whole heart cause your seeking male attention
Don’t you see these excuses causes a dissention
Between you and the Father
And we love holding on to these excuses, that’s why we insist
To pass up all these scriptures that teaches us to be righteous
And find that one that we can bend, pervert and twist
Come on
But what if all our excuses were gone
What if there was no excuse
Keeping you in your sin
Stopping you from holiness
From letting Christ in
What if there was no excuse
But all of us began
To throw away these clichés like
We all gone sin
What if there were no more excuses
Like serving God is hard
Cause you trust in yourself rather than the Word of God-you know I’m pulling your card
Come on admit it
Don’t use the very Bible which says that we are to be holy, then say you can’t get with it
When He was bruised for it
The King of Jews was whipped
In order that the veil be ripped
Giving direct access through Christ-He is our holiness
Because the truth is if you got excuses, then you have got to beware
Because the truth is He won’t give us a temptation beyond what we can bear
So don’t use the scripture to hold on to your sin, come on don’t go there
Like Romans 3:23
We’ve all sinned and fallen short of His glory
But look at verse 24
It’s a compound
It shows that we have been set free
You see you’ve got to read some more
It says that we have been justified by His grace
A stunning transaction has taken place
Outside the court, the guilt of sinners pardoned through faith
You see the Sons death waved the consequences of sin
In a unique sacrifice of atonement
Which truly washes us from within
This is not pretend
He bought us back like Hosea his wife when she was prostituting in sin
So what are your excuses?
What if there was no excuse
Keeping you in your sin
Stopping you from holiness
From letting Christ in
What if there was no excuse
But all of us began
To throw away these clichés like
We all gone sin
It is written: without holiness, no one will see Him
And this holiness is reflectant on weather or not Christ is within
Cause if Christ suffered and died, bearing your shame
And you would never really live a life affected by the cross,
then He would have never came
If there is no change and we will always do things that bring Him shame
Then Christ could have never came
But He did so your could live
Delivered from things perverse
And I challenge those that don’t believe, you do the research
Search the scripture yourself
Come on; pull your sword of the shelf
And I’m not talking sinless perfection
I’m talking about being grateful
Because sin goes against His resurrection
Read Romans chapter 6 if in need of a cross reference
About the new birth that has been written candidly
Which verifies
Romans 7 does not nullify victory over sin in Christianity
He is explaining the sin the law produced inwardly
Says himself he is unspiritual-in slavery
Calls out woe, who will rescues me
Trusts Jesus Christ cause in Romans 8 he has the victory
Sowing to the Spirit, this cats been redeemed
Because He knows who the truth is
And Paul wasn’t trying to hold on to His excuses
What if there was no excuse
Keeping you in your sin
Stopping you from holiness
From letting Christ in
What if there was no excuse
But all of us began
To throw away these clichés like
We all gone sin
So ask yourself what are my excuses?
What, nobodies perfect…or God knows my heart…or I was born this way,
forget what the scriptures say,
but if were always going to sin, I guess its okay
No…these things are abominable, do you see how deep these excuses will go
What if you had no more excuses?
What if you had them no more?
What if you had no more excuses?
Laid open before the Lord
No more holding on to your temporal lusts
Ungodly relationships that mess up your godly trust
No more blaming others to justify why you cuss
What if you had no more excuses?
Didn’t fight each time the light exposed your sin
Like knowing you have to die to self, yet there is a war going on within
Because your flesh loves the path that it is on
But what if all your excuses were gone
What if I told you to lay down your favorite secular song, because it opposes Christianity?
If I broke down all your idols, your TV shows, your hidden vanity
What then, when you cant hide behind men?
No more blaming your pastor, for your sin
Pastors say you don’t have to live it, so you’ll go to the pit?
When we stand before God none of our excuses will be legit, He will spit
Us out of His mouth
Too busy looking for our season, can’t see the filth inside our house
It’s not in order, so we won’ t be ready when He comes
And I know what your saying…hold up, but I’m saved,
But I’m saying if you are practicing sin, then you are getting played
When 1John 3:10 clearly states that you are hopelessly depraved
A child of the devil willing slave
But Christ set you free, but you choose to be chained
And I’m like that godly banshee, sending you a word, a poem, a fax
Based on facts to expose the gun the enemy has at your back
He is trying to take you out
And He uses your excuses to make you doubt
He doesn’t care about your finances
He will actually give you more, if it will lead you from the Lord
And we say take back what the enemy has stole
We focus on
money, what about your soul?
Submitting to Satans delusions, cause think about it if you wanted to send people to hell, how would you do it?
Wouldn’t you use and excuse?
A lie to keep men from the truth
Do I need to show you more proof?
So what if you had no more excuses?
What if there was no excuse
Keeping you in your sin
Stopping you from holiness
From letting Christ in
What if there was no excuse
But all of us began
To throw away these clichés like
We all gone sin
Still tempted but accepted the grace not to do it
Not to give in
Because we know that as a Christian we have died to sin
You see His arms were stretched
We were working for the enemy, the minimum wage is death
But the deep thing is Christ picked up our check
Saved us from the coming wrath
And I know right now, some of yawl are mad
But I’m going to tell it, to save you from this wide path
Because Jesus said if I am ashamed of His words, then He will be ashamed of me
And if I still fear men, then I’m not truly free
So I aint scared of none of yawl
Cause it’s a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God
So you do the math
And it’s crazy that Christians will persecute you
Make excuse to hold on to the evil things they do
Yet there are no excuses when you want God to bless you
Isn’t this true?
But I’m talking nothing separating your from the love of God
So why is what I’m saying odd, a foreign language
Because sin is contagious, your read the Bible but skip the convicting pages
From Adam to you, this is outrageous
When Christ the Lamb of God has already saved us
Would He have done all that…heal the deaf, deliver the possessed, and restore sight
And not give us the power to live right?
So you choose
The next time God convicts you
Will you hide behind your theology, or believe in the reality of the Bible
Will you serve the living God, or the American Idol?
So leave these excuses at the cross
Stop saying its someone else’s fault
Let Him clear your murky water
He is here to take away the prop keeping you from the Father
But you have to accept what the truth is
There is no reason now, not to live holy for God
Cause I’ve taken away all you excuses

The quilt measures 60" by 85", it is comprised of 48 embroidered blocks and 1 center block that has the girls name and favorite scripture.
I intend to make a quilt like this with my daughter. What a beautiful legacy! My friend and I were talking this morning about filling our daughters' hope chests' and how special and exciting that will be! This quilt would be a fabulous addition to a hope chest.
I think this would be a wonderful project to make as part of the Keepers at Home Club. I really want to start one in our area. I guess I just feel like I don't know enough moms who want to train their daughters to be keepers at home and I don't know many girls who are training to be keepers at home. I will pray more about that. The Keepers at Home curriculum can be used without a group, but I would prefer to do it as a group. I'm going to make some phone calls to people that may be interested and see about starting a group this Fall. I'm excited!
That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Titus 2:3-5
Beautiful bible quilt found here.

This is my sweet 7 year old. I would have 17 more just like him.

I found this interview here, it was a lot of fun.

For Today...I'm trying to decide what I'm going to do today. Some books I requested from the Library are in, so I want to pick those up at some point and maybe do a little thrift store shopping.
Outside my window...Cloudy and rainy. I love clouds and rain and dark skies.
I am thinking...About our devotional last night. We are reading the chapter of Prov. that corresponds with the day. Yesterday we read the 5th chapter, and it gets into the "strange woman". We talked a bit about her characteristics. "For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil". My nephews are 13 so we talked about some things that the strange woman might say to you, they talked about some things that girls have said to them at school. My 7 year old said: "When I was at homeschool gym a girl said to me, 'go hide so I can give you a hug." I asked him what he did, he said he ran. "Run away from anything that stimulates youthful lust." It sure starts EARLY and little girls are very FORWARD.
From the learning rooms...My lesson plans are done for this week. My nephews spent the night tonight. Whenever they're here on a school day I let them teach us something new, and I let my son teach them something new.
I am thankful for...For the new home the Lord has given us. I currently live 60 minutes from the Children's Hospital. We take the baby there very often and when I have to stay in the Hospital with him, it is nearly impossible to come home. Round trip is at least 2 hours without traffic. This home is near the bridge, so I can actually get there in about 15 or 20 minutes! Also thankful that I found a lawn mower for $15.
From the kitchen...I haven't made it there yet. Every morning I eat 3 egg whites, so I'll go and fix that at some point.
I am wearing...Pj's
I am reading...The Bible, A Gentle and Quiet Spirit, and I hope to start a new Amish fiction book my friend brought me this weekend.
I am hoping...To find a rectangular wooden dining room table. And to lose 2 or 3 lbs. this week. When I find the time I'll post my weight loss stats. Still working off the baby weight.
I am creating...Still need to make diapers. Didn't do any diapers last week, and I also want to make my daughters swimsuit. I have the pattern and it looks easy enough to sew.
I am hearing...Silence! Everyone is still sleeping :-)
Around the house...Going to start packing things that we're not using at the moment, and I need to start getting rid of anything we're not taking with us.
One of my favorite things...rainy, cloudy days.
A few plans for the rest of the week...I have to get my hair done, which takes at least 2 or 3 days. And all the regular delightful routines: church, fellowship, and hospitality.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...
Sleepy Head.

Webster 1828 Dictionary Defines privacy and secrecy:
Privacy: A state of being in retirement from the company or observation of others; secrecy.
Secrecy: Properly, a state of separation; hence, concealment from the observation of others, or from the notice of any persons not concerned; privacy; a state of being bid from view. When used of an individual, secrecy implies concealment from all others; when used of two or more, it implies concealment from all persons except those concerned. thus a company of counterfeiters carry on their villainy in secrecy.
