At our Friday night BibleTalk we played a get to know you game. Everyone was given 13pennies. We all had to share something that we've never done but that we think everyone else has done. If you have never done something that other people have done then they have to give you a penny, the person with the most pennies wins. For fun I thought I would post some things I've never done:

I'm busy writing papers and researching
I'm working on a project that is due in 3 hours, but I needed a quick break :0)
All is well on the home front haven't taken any pictures all week
We went to look at a house yesterday! I pray it is for us. It has a vegetable garden, a Pecan Tree, and a built in bookshelf! I think I'll call it Canaan, for surely the Lord is bringing us to the land of milk and honey!

This is how we feel about Daylight Savings Time! The time has come when I can no longer trick the kids into bed at 7:00. Can we not save daylight? We are all lamenting, can you hear our cries? We are considering wearing all black until fall to publicly declare our mourning.
I'm a tad bit melancholy today. I didn't get 1 thing accomplished, argh! It was one of the days where I feel like I worked and worked all day, but at the end of the day I can't find anything I finished and the house is a wreck like I didn't clean it. Baby was uncharacteristically fussy so I mostly rocked and held him. I wish I had treasured rocking him and not lamented over my dirty dishes. Tomorrow is another day.

So Nadya Suleman is quite possibly public enemy number 1. If I understand correctly the American people are outraged because this single mother used IVF to conceive 14 children. She has no husband and no income and she lives off of disability checks and student loans to support her family. I mean she is receiving death threats for this offense.So America is literally outraged because their tax dollars are supporting this mom. American citizens aren't nearly as outraged over far more distressing issues.It isn't my concern to judge between right and wrong, but I can certainly think of worse offenses. In fact I can think of at least 14 things that are far worse than this mom:
• World Hunger: “840 million people in the world are malnourished”
• Baby rape: Need I say more?
• Tax dollars funding abortion: When is Death not an abomination?
• The King and King a book in American Elementary School Libraries to teach “tolerance”
• Child Abuse
• Tax dollars funding War
• Gay Marriage
• Gender Reassignment
• Putting 6 weeks old babies in Day Care read Is Day Care Child Abuse?
• People living off the Government and not taking care of their kids (physically or emotionally)
• Drug addicts living off the Government and not taking care of their kids(physically or emotionally)
• Alcoholics living off of the Government and not taking care of their kids(physically or emotionally)
• Child Molesters living off of the Government and abusing their kids
• Ritalin: “ we have become the only country in the world where children are prescribed such a vast quantity of stimulants that share virtually the same properties as cocaine.”
Some things I've heard:
Obviously she has a mental issue because she wants so many kids: I know its hard to believe, but a long long time ago, children were considered blessings and barrenness was considered a curse. It was the norm for women to long for children and lots of them. Yes, times have changed and so have people. We as a people have adopted the philosophy, "God Bless the children, but keep them far from me."
Obviously she has an obsessive compulsive disorder making her want more kids: Yes, and we are all affected with this “disorder”... it is called DISCONTENTMENT. That’s why people by new houses every 5 years that are quadruple the size of their actual family , and new cars every 3 years, and new cells phones twice a year, etc. etc. etc. Have you ever heard of the word UPGRADE. I heard it even applies to men now, thank Beyonce for pointing this out for us. OCD is psychobabble at its best. The fact is we are a discontent people, few have mastered the "secret of contentment".
Final Thoughts:
People put themselves in bad situations and/ or make poor decisions, it is a fact of life. The poor will always be with us. Matthew 26:11 Just because people use poor judgement, doesn't mean that they don't need help. In situations like this, people are quick to have the attitude, "you made your bed, so lie in it". It isn’t for me to say, "she put herself in this situation so I’m not going to help her". Have we not learned that Gods ways are not our ways, and Gods thoughts are not our thoughts. My own life testifies to the fact that what the Devil intended for evil, the Lord intended for good.
