We are all adjusting to being a new family of seven! It is very exciting. I feel mostly back to myself, much better than when I was pregnant. My body isn't physically tired and shutting down all the time. Life is pretty much back to normal. Laundry and cleaning are in full swing, we started school back last Monday which has gone very well. I'm not in pain and my incision is healing perfectly. I have spurts of energy, which is so nice since I haven't had any form of energy for months! I love getting things accomplished during the day. I had to sit on my hands this morning, so I didn't rake leaves. I'm sure that's a "no no". My toddler training is going very well! The biggest need for training was "come here" training. I'm almost ready to graduate him, as he consistently comes to me when called. That one feat has been a tremendous help. Speaking of help there are a lot of little helpers I'm thankful for right now. Like, my phone has an intercom, so I don't have to yell through the house. Love it. And I have a swiffer mop. Talk about convenience. No water, no buckets, instant drying. It's nearly revolutionized my life! I'm constantly thankful that God continues to renew my strength just when I'm running out. People have been bringing us meals so I haven't really had to cook. It's a little unusual that I'm up right now but I needed to do some research on word problem strategies. Well that's it for now. I do need to get some sleep. Speaking of which, this is a staged photo, this baby doesn't like the bassinet. In fact he doesn't really like sleeping. To be perfectly honest, he isn't really that happy unless someone is holding him. Lucky for him there are six willing people ready to oblige. :-)
Almost exactly 5 years ago I printed out the entire Raising Godly Tomatoes website. I find myself re-reading it again with an ill trained two year old. Now that I have the baby, I wish I would have been more diligent in training our new toddler to obey the first time, come when called, and respond consistently to the word "no". If I knew how to use those emoticons I'd have one here, the eye roll... At any rate, we are making progress, I moved him to a big boy bed, so that is good training in obedience right there.
Life is fun with the baby. I've been extremely lonesome for my husband who is working so much, but I couldn't ask for better friends who have been so loving and faithful in helping me through. I feel kissed by God. To know that he cares about all my little cares, makes me feel so loved. I've been clinging to Passionate Housewives Desperate for God, easily my favorite chapter is Weary Women, I've read that a lot this week and I feel refreshed today. I had a C-section so I'm still in recovery mode, but the pain is under control and I'm slowly getting back to myself.
Now I must attend to my toddler, thanks for all the well wishes for our new baby. God Bless

Playtime:
Nevermind the white around the lips, they just ate powdered donughts.

Cooking:

Bathtime:
Yet another consequence of being child number four. You don't get to take a bath in a real tub. In fact your own mother, may not wash you :- I was talking to my friend the other day and we were talking about bath toys, and it dawned on me three of my four kids have never had bath toys. Yikes! I have gotten awful minimalistic, bathtime is literally water and soap for 6 minutes. The twins had to learn to take showers at 3, now they are quite proficient at it. I wonder can I keep in in the sink until he's three???

School Time
So my oldest has to write a book report every month, and this month he did a Skelton report, except the skelton looked like a Robot so we call it a Robot report. The book he read in October was a Starving Time. We're studying early American history this year, so he'll read a lot of historical fiction. The other kids like to do what he does to.
