What's New?
Well in week 7, we introduced family exercise! We had friends over for devotions a couple of weeks ago, and after dinner in their family, they do family exercise and we got to join them. It was fun and it made me realize how much more active we need to be as a family. I'm still trying to figure out after 10 years how to effectively and consistently exercise with many small people underfoot...there are more barriers than you know :-) I've always had an in-home daycare until number 4 was born, so I've always had more children than strollers and car seats making walking and going to the gym improbable. Night times are completely out for me, which has left me with exercise videos at home. Exercise videos work, but I love being outside getting fresh air! Last year I started running/walking/bike riding before the kids got up, which I loved, but it interfered with my quiet time. By the time I got home, the kids were up and the day was started. My children are now getting older, where I could exercise by myself, but it's really not fair, because they need it as much as I do. The kids love the exercise videos, their heart rate gets up, and it's something we can do most days of the week all together! We are using Walk Away the Pounds 5 mile DVD and lots of different TaeBo DVD's. I'll start going to the library every week and getting other things to supplement as well (ballet, karate, etc.)
This week our total:
11 miles at home
Tae Bo fat blasting cardio 1X
