We've never really done birthday parties before. Mostly Completely, as an introvert, I hate parties...really every aspect of them. I assume because I never want to go, other people don't want to go either. The whole thinking about it, planning it, executing it, is daunting to me. But, the boys went to a party at a friends house a few weeks prior and it gave me hope. It was pizza and they played outside and I thought, I could do that. I want to do that for them. The teens go out every week for teen devo, the boys don't really go anywhere. So I did it. It was easy and fun and the boys were so encouraged.
"Because we don't know when we will die, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. Yet everything happens only a certain number of times, and a very small number really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, an afternoon that is so deeply a part of your being that you can't even conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four, five times more, perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps 20. And yet it all seems limitless." -Paul Bowles
