God blessed these weary moms and best friends with a beautiful break.
Every year we homeschool plan together...this year we got to do in Ft. Lauderdale Florida.
My first time on a plane since my honeymoon!!! I'm soooo excited.
Landed in Florida.
The view from our room. Deb's husband was so kind to give us a room with an oceanfront view.
Listening to this guy "teach" Deborah (pregnant with her 5th child) how to give birth. She's done it naturally 4 other times. lol
My husband sent me a picture...he's loading all of the kids for soccer. My mom is coming to help.
The look of contentment, thanksgiving, and refreshment.
"Millionaire Row"
Alligator wrestling
As introverts, we both found this hilarious and true.
On my way home.
I have a nice window seat again. I love seeing the clouds.
When did I notice something was wrong? I'm no pilot...but after about 20 minutes in the sky, it looked like we were headed towards the city not away from it. Eventually, the pilot came on the mic and said that the plane took an airstrike and we would have to land back at the airport.
They found the bird. It broke 3 belts. We were all stranded.
This will always be one of my most favorite days in history. The day I got to be completely alone in a hotel room. lol I LOVE my family and my life, but the conundrum of being an introvert surrounded by people is endless.
My poor husband was one second away from having a stroke. All of his worst fears were realized.
It was very hard for me to try to convey to him the depth of my peace. lol
And I had the best falafel EVER.
Back on the plane...take 2.
There was some minor difficulty. We had to wait on the tarmac for 40 minutes until storms passed. After the storms passed the fire alarm went off in the bathroom. The plane had to go back to the terminal and be checked. Everyone started to grumble. I was quite content to sit and read. Reading and a love for being alone are superpowers.
I finally made it back to real life and the love of my life. :-)
