The quilt measures 60" by 85", it is comprised of 48 embroidered blocks and 1 center block that has the girls name and favorite scripture.
I intend to make a quilt like this with my daughter. What a beautiful legacy! My friend and I were talking this morning about filling our daughters' hope chests' and how special and exciting that will be! This quilt would be a fabulous addition to a hope chest.
I think this would be a wonderful project to make as part of the Keepers at Home Club. I really want to start one in our area. I guess I just feel like I don't know enough moms who want to train their daughters to be keepers at home and I don't know many girls who are training to be keepers at home. I will pray more about that. The Keepers at Home curriculum can be used without a group, but I would prefer to do it as a group. I'm going to make some phone calls to people that may be interested and see about starting a group this Fall. I'm excited!
That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Titus 2:3-5
Beautiful bible quilt found here.
